History Of Kalispell's Partnership With James
James Ooko connected with Tony Smith through World Bible School lessons in 2008. Through these studies he came to know Christ and was baptized in March of 2009. By the summer of 2010 James was working as an evangelist at one of the churches in Nairobi, and it was at this time that our congregation began to provide him with financial support. He was led to plant a new church in 2012 and again in 2015. That second church plant has grown and is now the Baraka Road Church of Christ where James is now working. In December of 2016 James completed studies through Harding University online and earned a Certificate in Christian Ministry.
The church at Baraka Road is made up of 100 brothers and sisters who seem tireless in their efforts to spread God's Word. Their ministries include door-to-door witnessing, children's and hospital ministries, seeker sensitive worship and fellowship, World Bible School campaigns and more. We frequently receive news that more people have been baptized into Christ.
Pray for James as he minsters and disciples, as well as his wife Susan and their 5 children. Pray for the Baraka Road Church of Christ as they seek to serve God and show His love in their community.
